New Home, New Life

Well, we have finally moved back into our "home" ward. We have missed all of our friends and the ones who are like family. It is so great to be back.
I am also very grateful for my mom who let me and my family invade her home for the last two years. They weren't always the easiest but, I love her for letting us live there. I learned more about my mom in the two years living with her than I did my growing up years. I am grateful I got to know her.

not a baby anymore...

Today my baby turned one. As I thought back to the year we have had I am so grateful that he is mine and in my family. We have had nothing but issues from the moment he was born. I didn't get to see him for almost 4 hours after birth due to his oxygen levels.

Then 4 weeks later we were dealing with RSV and NICU for a week.

After those issues I look back to finding out that I was going to have a boy and being sad that he was not a girl. You know what?! Now I wouldnt give him up for the world. I love my boy with all my heart and would give anything for him. Happy Birthday Ty!!!!

men in my life...

This week I have relized how grateful I am for the men in my life. I am grateful for the way they treat and respect women. I am grateful that I dont have to worry about mine our anyone elses safety when around them. I am also so grateful to have the priesthood in my home. Its great to know that my 4 year old can go to her dad at such a young age and ask him to give her a blessing.
I have such a great family and great men ( family and friends), and great friends in general in my life that I had to share. Things I go through on almost a daily basis open my eyes and make me realize the wonderful things I have and that life isn't so bad after all.

Come on parents... Really

So, as most of you know I work at the hospital. We have new rules in place during cold and flu season that prohibit sick people, number of visitors to 2 and no kids under the age of 14. During the last week I can not tell you the number of kids I have seen on the floor and when you talk to the parents they are baffled at the rule. Really??? Its posted on the door as you come to the floor, and there are 2 big signs. One as you enter the hospital and one as you come to the floor. They are there for a reason
One: Kids are absolutely gross and germ filled. I am taking care of people who just had surgery. Really? I dont need them sick
Second: RSV was in full swing in OCTOBER/NOVEMBER!!! That is early when its usually now it starts.
My advise... Keep your kids out of the hospitals... That is where SICK PEOPLE go to get better. Not well people go to just hang out. Thanks....

Starting this thing yet again...

So,
This is my second attempt at doing a blog. This is where I am going to write my feelings and life so that others can learn and enjoy things that I do and see on a daily basis.
I am wife of a great husband who puts up with me quite a bit. I am also a mother of 2 wonderful children. They are live normal kids who have their days and make me wanna scream. Those are the days I am so grateful that I work. I currently work as a CNA at a local hosital and LOVE  my job and what I do. I have learned so much from my last year and hope to continue to do so. I hope that this can help me keep my sanity during the days I wanna cry. I hope that it also will help me on the days that are great to look back and say "wow, what was I thinking."
I hope you enjoy this as much as I do...
Ami
